We recommend checking your air filter monthly to keep your heat and air system functioning at peak performance. If you have a disposable filter and it’s dirty, don’t attempt to clean it, just replace it. High-efficiency pleated air filters may need to be replaced every three months, but check them once a month, especially in high-use seasons. Remember, some systems have more than one air filter.
If your HVAC system has a permanent electrostatic filter, it must be washed monthly, instead of replaced. Remove your air filter while the thermostat is switched off. Spray both sides of the filter with a garden hose and repeat as necessary until the water runs clear. Shake excess water off and allow it to air dry before reinstalling it. It’s okay to replace the filter when it’s still slightly damp but not really wet.
Installing a quality thermostat can improve the way your HVAC system functions and decrease your heating/cooling bill. If you have an older thermostat or one that’s having issues, we always recommend upgrading. Newer thermostats come with more features and provider better control over the comfort level in your home or business. We carry a complete line of programmable and non-programmable thermostats designed to maximize your HVAC system’s performance, and we can help you choose the one best suited to your needs.
Ductwork for a forced-air HVAC system is usually tucked out of sight and goes unnoticed. When your HVAC system is underperforming, it’s often due to clogged or flawed ductwork. Over time, ductwork accumulates debris, becomes damaged or jars loose at the seals. Leaky air ducts can lead to inadequate heating/cooling, higher energy bills, musty odors, poor indoor air quality and more. We can perform a thorough ductwork inspection and duct cleaning using the “Source Capture” system.
Bio Clean is a blend of bacteria and enzymes. The bacteria are natural, not genetically-engineered. The enzyme concentration is the most powerful on the market. Bio-Clean is non-poisonous. It creates no heat, no fumes, no boiling. It does not attack live tissue nor inorganic materials, only organic wastes like grease, hair, food particles, paper, cotton & sewage. This makes BIO-CLEAN safe for people, plumbing and the environment. BIO-CLEAN changes the waste particles into water, carbon dioxide and mineral ash which run harmlessly out of your waste system. These elements are then available for plant life.
Bio-Clean is EFFECTIVE
Within an hour after pouring the bacteria into the drain, the bacteria begin to eat their way into the waste that has accumulated on the sides and top of the drain pipe. This is their natural food. They digest the waste and spread throughout your system.
Insulation, hose bibb covers, opening cabinet door will all help. But the surest way to protect your water piping is to "Let the water Flow". Leave several faucets dripping, about the size of a pencil lead, and you shouldn't have any trouble with pipes freezing and bursting. And if you left a faucet dripping and it did freeze, leave the faucet on until the pipe thaws out. Do Not turn the faucet off while frozen. As the pipe/faucet thaws, by being in the open position, this will allow the pressure to release and save your piping.
